A Hawk's Story - Thunderhawk's Gimmick Empty A Hawk's Story - Thunderhawk's Gimmick

Post  Thunderhawk Tue Oct 19, 2010 2:40 pm

Name : Thunderhawk
Age : 45 (goddamn, already)
Birthplace : Naples - Italy
Height : 1m82 - 5.9 feet
Weight : 76kg - 171lbs

In-ring attire : Weird-looking white, forearm-covering, vambraces ; wing-patterned mask, usually bicolor and rarely changing ... plus some jeans and wrestling boots.
Entrance Music : P.O.D. - "Boom"

Alignment : Tweener. Hawk will mostly stay face anyways ... depending on the opponent's attitude he might get heel at times. But never for long periods ...

Attitude : A rather reckless wrestler, even if somehow slowed down with the wisdom of age. Hawk never backed down from a challenge, even the craziest ones, and won't start now, especially with all the youngsters trying to showoff ...
This attitude led him to surreal situations, such as Barbed Wire butcheries, hardcore Ladder matches, or winning a tournament by making everyone bleed to unconsciousness ...
If anyone messes with Hawk, even if visibly stronger than him, Hawk will often run into him head-first. Ready to make everyone taste his talons. That are sharper than ever !

Federations achievements :
In IAF (12 months of stay - reached Mondial)
- First National Champion ("Tier 1") : 1 victory, 2 defenses
- Longest Reigning Honor Champion ("Tier 2") : 1 victory, 4 defenses - then a second victory and a 14 defenses streak.

Biographical elements :
Hawk was born in an economically ... "stable" family, his father being an art merchant. He grew up relatively calmly, until his father got involved in something bigger than him. Consciously or not, the local mafia used his father's activity to smuggle stolen artwork and other goods ... and once his father refused to keep going, after trying to fool them ... he had to pay them back somehow.
The deal was simple : either he would keep working for them, or he would have to "send" them his son and pay them to stay safe. Which he bravely did ...

That's how the youngster spent two or three years, committing petty crimes to keep his family safe. Again, it wasn't enough, as his father had to keep up with his debts, paying increasingly high loans. And soon, he couldn't face it anymore ...
He quickly embarked his son on the first plane to the US, right after the latter got into real trouble for his activity ... and both never saw each other again. Young Hawk could read, the week later, that a house in Naples burnt to ashes with a couple corpses in it. And the address given in the local press was his flat's.

Recovered in Boston by an emigrated uncle, the only occupation he found worth of doing was going to the gym almost each day, training on his physical aptitude, born in years of forced bullying and mugging in Naples' streets. At the age of 21, Hawk, feeling really inspired by lucha libre fighting, started to really train to become professional wrestler, the only thing he could really do.

He started to be known at 24, after joining a regional Illinois federation : CUW, lasting a couple months. The major turn in his career was his integration in Total Impact Wrestling, an international federation in which he started fighting with visibility and gaining a couple titles. After seven months, TIW was reborn in RCW, for six months, then lasted another 12 months as the Independent Athletes Federation, an ambitious self-managed roster in which Hawk made his biggest steps in celebrity by earning titles after titles, including the longest "Honor championship" reign in the federation's history.

Now aged 45, many say that Hawk is on the declining slope, even on the edge of retirement : but he wants to take a new shot at the future. As IAF closed down for economic reasons, he immediately joined WII, a young, promising federation, where he found some ancient friends and foes, federation or stable members, such as Sparkhawk, Telan or 4Real ... after them, he noticed many arrivals : DaWolf, the Stupifier, Master of Puppets, Space Trucker and others

And he feels more ready than ever, not to take over the fed or some other megalomaniac project, but to make a space for himself, before taking a place under the spotlights ... again. Willing to take on every single challenge, preferably the hardest possible, coming his way.

Finishers :
- Lightning Shock Kick (Direct damage)
- Hayabusa Stretch (Submission)

Trademarks :
- Hawkton Bomb (Modified Swanton Bomb)
- Spinning Thunder (Modified Spinning Legdrop)
- Tsunami Buster (Modified Twist of Fate)

Favorite "basic moves" : Hawk is really fond of everything related to DDTs - which he uses in impressive number, from the dizzy Twisting DDT to the flying Springboard one ...
Plus, everything a but high-flying : Diving Legdrop, Hurracanrana, Moonsaults ...
